What is my "Tournament Rating"?
FratBlackJack Player's Club members are given a tournament rating that
is a measure of how successful they are in FratBlackJack tournaments. The
tournament rating is a score that is based on your multi-table
tournament performance and is constantly changing as you play more
multi-table tournaments. Tournament ratings allow you to see how
you're doing and track your progress as you become a better and
better player. FratBlackJack also runs special tournaments in which you can
play against players with similar tournament ratings. This allows
you to play against players of similar skill. You can find your
tournament rating in the "myFratBlackJack" page after you log in to the
poker software. Tournament Ratings are updated once every 24
hours.
How is my tournament rating determined?
The numerical value of your tournament rating is determined by a
complex formula that takes into account primarily where you placed
in a given multi table tournament and how many total people were in
the tournament. Your tournament rating then determines which color
level you are. Tournament ratings start at the Red level and then
progress to Green and finally to Black -- the highest color level.
The more multi table tournaments you play, the size of the
tournaments and how you place in these tournaments will therefore
determine whether your score and color level move up or down. In
general, the better your performance the higher your numerical
tournament rating score.
We plan to show you how your tournament rating ranks in relation
to other Player’s Club members and what the highest ratings are. We
also plan to hold tournaments by color level to allow members to
compete against players of similar skill levels making for an even
more enjoyable poker experience at FratBlackJack.com!

Game Play/How do I play
poker?
I am trying to get into a tournament that has an
'Entry' status of Players Club, but it won't let me in -
why?
There are two types of memberships in FratBlackJack, Basic and FratBlackJack
Player's Club. To find out more about how to upgrade to a FratBlackJack
Player's Club membership as well as all of its benefits.
How do I register for a tournament?
Find the tournaments by clicking on the "Poker Tournaments" link
in the lobby. Then select either "Single Table Tournaments" or
"Multi-Table Tournaments" by clicking on the appropriate tab. To
register for a specific tournament, double click on that tournament
and then click on the register button within the window that pops
up.
Why can't I register for a tournament?
Each tournament has entry conditions. To register for a
tournament, you must have enough Play Money or Poker Points for that
specific tournament. If you double click on a tournament, the
registration screen will tell you if Poker Points or Play Money is
needed for entry. In addition, some tournaments are Players Club
tournaments. To find out more about how to upgrade to a FratBlackJack
Player's Club membership as well as all of its benefits.
What is a Single-Table tournament?
Single-Table tournaments can have a maximum of ten (10) players
where all players begin with an equal number of chips. The stakes
(antes, blinds) increase over time. Players are knocked out of the
tournament as they lose all of their chips to other players. The
winner is the player who eventually ends up with all of the chips on
the table. Single-table tournaments will begin with exactly ten (10)
players.
What is a Multi-Table tournament?
In a Multi-Table tournament, there can be multiple tables of
players with a maximum of ten (10) players per table. Each player
starts with an equal number of chips. The stakes (antes, blinds)
increase over time. Players are knocked out of the tournament as
players lose all of their chips to their opponents. Remaining
players are periodically re-assigned seats on other tables to keep
tables full. This will eliminate tables over time until the last
surviving players with chips remain at a final table. The eventual
winner is the last player at the final table that ends up with all
the chips.
What is a Super Qualifier?
A Super Qualifier is a special Players Club Multi-Table
Tournament.
What is a 10K Express Tournament?
The 10K Express is a Multi-Table Tournament that is available to
both Basic and Players Club players.
What Hand Wins?
What do the different stake levels mean in the poker
rooms?
The stake levels represent the different minimum play money
antes, blinds and in some cases, bets for that table.
What do NL, PL, and Fixed mean?
NL means No Limit. This table has no limit on the betting. In NL
poker, a player can go 'all-in' (bet all their chips) at any time.
No Limit is what is generally played on TV poker shows. PL means Pot
Limit. The most a player can bet in PL is the amount in the pot.
Fixed means the betting is fixed according to a certain betting
schedule. In pot limit, there is a maximum to what a player can bet
at all times.
What does $0 + $0, $100 + $0 or $0 + $100
mean?
These numbers are your 'Buy-In' to an event. The number on the
left is the amount of Play Money that will be put into the prize
pool from your Play Money balance. The prize pool will be
redistributed to the top finishers in that event. The number on the
right is the amount of Play Money that you need to pay (as an entry
fee) to enter the tournament. Play Money has no cash value.
Player's Club tournaments are generally $0 + $0, but have a
specific number of Poker Points required for entry. You can
determine the number of Poker Points needed to enter the event by
single clicking on the event name and looking at the 'Table Details'
box on the right side of your game client.
Can I play at more than one table at
once?
Players are permitted to play at a maximum of 3 tables at once.
